Veteran Car ‘Wolseley 6’ -100 not out and Veteran of the 2 World Wars

The oldest Veteran car of UK Wolseley 6 is synonymous to UK’s Ancient Classics. . It has survived 2 World Wars and 3 monarchs.

It was manufactured in the year 1904. The car has a top speed of approximately 30 mph. The original owner of the Car is Mr. EH Greenly.  Moreover, Herbert Austin, founder of the Austin Motor Company designed the above-mentioned car. Now it is handled with care and nurtured in the same way just like a year-old baby or pet. That is the reason that it has never halted whenever driven. Its present owner is Brian Caseley, a resident of Sherborne Dorset.  It still holds the original registration plate ‘CJ 164’ and is in mint condition. Some traditional furniture has also been used in the car.  In the present era, Accounting for Buildings, and properties can be done but accounting for such types of treasure is not possible.

Since this car holds historical significance, it has to be kept clean everyday so that it does not become rusty and does not loose historical value. This is another classic example of ideal driver. Golvanni Rozzo is the Britain’s oldest known driver. He holds an experience of 8 decades and during this tenure He never had a single accident. Moreover, this 103 years Old man has not yet given up driving. It is unbelievable that in a time span of nearly 80 years of driving, just two speeding fines were imposed on him. Further, he never caused any damage to any other vehicle or its driver in this staggering career.

It is yet not complete. After his wife ‘Anna Maria’ died last year, he regularly paid homage to his wife by going to her grave. He goes by driving a car.

Starting from teenage He started driving at the age of 20 years, i.e. approximately in the year 1914 before the First World War and Second World War.

Even at 103, when he was interviewed, he said that his eyesight is appropriate and he is still confident in driving and will carry on driving. He proudly mentioned that he still enjoys taking his Wolseley 6 out on the road. Further, he clarified that he has never had a crash — although other people have hit his car.

Besides that, he hails from the army fraternity: he started his career as a clerk in the Italian army and thereafter began driving military vehicles. He drove military vehicles for 20 years in Italy on an army license. Later, he moved to the UK and took the formal UK driving test in 1953, marking the start of his international driving journey. In 1956, he relocated to Cambridge, and in 1962, he was awarded a Diploma by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. In 2005, he was honoured by the Italian Government with the title of Cavaliere.
